Highway Design

Safety is a key issue in road design.   In urban areas outside town centres, half of all road accidents occur on main roads, a quarter on local distributors, and the remainder in residential areas.  Careful attention to design, and incorporation of road safety features, where appropriate, can be used to minimise risk for road users and pedestrians.
